Mill Walk

When I moved my studio to this repurposed mill building many years ago, I frequently photographed interesting locations in the building that provided evidence of its industrial history. Over the years much of the mill’s funky character has been removed or covered over, maybe to attract younger residential and commercial tenants. Beautiful oak doors and trim are now black. I recently took a walk around the building with my camera and a very wide lens, to see what it would be like to view the place with a different perspective. I was very pleased to see some of the mill’s architectural details, especially the old stairs and pipes, revealed this way. Here are a few scenes of the environment I walk through all the time, seen a little differently.
